Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is a highly effective and enjoyable therapeutic option for both children and adults, offering numerous physical and mental health benefits. The buoyancy and gentle resistance of water create a low-impact, supportive environment, ideal for addressing conditions like cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, arthritis, chronic pain, stroke recovery, or post-surgical rehabilitation. For children, hydrotherapy can improve motor skills, balance, coordination, and sensory processing through fun, engaging water-based activities. Adults benefit from reduced pain, improved joint mobility, muscle relaxation, and enhanced strength and flexibility with exercises tailored to their unique goals. Hydrotherapy also alleviates stress on joints and muscles, making it perfect for rehabilitation, fitness, or overall wellness. Sessions are held at the Murray Bridge heated pool and can align with NDIS plans to promote independence, mobility, and participation in daily activities.
Meet Genna
Principal Physiotherapist
B.Pthy, APAM
Hey, I’m Genna! I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2018, working across a range of clinical settings over the years to gain experience in treating a variety of different conditions. I have worked in musculoskeletal clinics, aged care, paediatric clinics, neurological rehabilitation and within the disability sector. My focus is now on paediatrics and disability, as I enjoy making long-lasting relationships with clients and helping them to achieve their goals.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and riding my horses. I have two Cavoodle dogs and a Border Collie puppy. I love being outdoors and enjoying the country lifestyle the Adelaide Hills has to offer with my partner, Will.
